In the wake of our earlier post about Brady the puppy being shot 18 times with a BB gun in the USA and, closer to home, a woman in Suffolk has been chaged with causing unnecessary suffering to more than 30 horses and 20 dogs in her care.
The lady in Suffolk has been ordered to pay £2,500 and banned from keeping horses and dogs for six years. What do you think? Is this sufficient punishment for someone who kept horses in sheds, living knee-deep in muck and negleting to feed them? They also had overgrown feet, dental problems, worm burndens and eye infections. The dogs were kpet in small cages without fresh water or food. This woman should never be allowed to keep animals again.
If you think that someone is neglecting or being cruel to an animal, contact the Royal Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (RSPCA), or the Scottish Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (SSPCA) if you’re in Scotland.
