Bertie the Beagle

Bertie the Beagle

Dear Cassie – I am in trouble with my human again.  I am always bursting for a wee wee and I think my aim is a bit off because I keep missing my puppy pad.  I never mean to miss, it’s just that I am always in such a hurry. There are so many things to play with, so I sometimes forget I need to wee.    I love my human very much and don’t want to make him cross.  So I am really worried.  He says he will rub my nose in it next time.  How can I improve my aim? Can you help me?

Bertie!  There is absolutely nothing for you to be worried about and it is nothing to do with your aim!   You are still just a baby and every single puppy out there is experiencing the same problems.  You are never alone! I am sure your human isn’t really cross with you.  Tessa used to do a lot of shouting, but she is all bark and no bite anyway. I always knew that she was never being serious.  It is just one of the many things you will learn as you get older.

The best place to go is outside when you get the opportunity.

When indoors, just remind yourself that your puppy pad is bigger than you are, so don’t do anything until you are sure you are in the middle of it and you will be OK.

And do try and remember never to do it on one of these …

NEVER WEE WEE HERE!

Oh and please don’t forget that the same rule applies for a Poo Poo Bertie.  In fact, more so.  If you plant one of those on the carpet you really will be in big shit, I mean trouble.

Love Cassie heart paw
